What are the symptoms of sacroiliac joint dysfunction?
It sounds like you’re dealing with some discomfort and want to understand what might be going on. While I can’t diagnose medical conditions, I can tell you about common symptoms of sacroiliac (SI) joint dysfunction.
The SI joints connect your lower spine to your pelvis. When they aren’t working properly, you might notice:
Pain in your lower back: This pain can be dull or sharp, and it may travel to your buttocks, groin, or down your leg.
Stiffness: You might feel stiff in your lower back, especially when getting out of bed or after sitting for a long time.
Tenderness: The area around your SI joint, just above your buttock, may feel tender to the touch.
Clicking or popping: You might hear or feel a clicking or popping sensation in your pelvis when you move.
If you are experiencing these symptoms, it’s important to talk to your doctor or a physical therapist. They can figure out what’s causing your pain and recommend the right treatment plan for you.
