How is knee bursitis treated?
Dealing with knee pain is never fun, and it’s understandable that you’re looking for ways to feel better. Knee bursitis can be treated in several ways, and many of them are things you can do at home!
Rest and Protection: Give your knee a break from activities that make it hurt.
Ice It Down: Apply ice packs for 15-20 minutes at a time, several times a day, to help with pain and swelling.
Pain Relievers: Over-the-counter pain relievers like ibuprofen or naproxen can help.
Compression: Wearing a compression bandage can help reduce swelling.
Sometimes, your doctor might suggest additional treatments like physical therapy or, in some cases, injections.
It’s important to remember that I can’t give medical advice, and this isn’t a replacement for talking to your doctor. They’re the best person to diagnose your specific condition and suggest the right treatment plan for you.
